The 26th UN Climate Change Conference of the Parties (COP26) takes place on October 31-November 12, 2021 in Glasgow, Scotland. A large group of faculty members and students from our YEAH network traveled to the UK to attend the COP26 events in person.

YEAH Action Hub Event at COP26

YEAH fellows hosted an action hub event at COP26 on November 8, 2021. This event was focused on showcasing “Voices of Optimism: YEAH for Climate Action and the SDGs”. YEAH fellow Shardul Tiwari from Michigan Technological University (MTU) moderated this action hub event. Also, YEAH fellows Alexis Pascaris (MTU), Jacob Genuise (CSU) and Amanda Pastore (University of Connecticut) participated in this event.

Youth Environmental Alliance in Higher Education : Voices of Optimism: YEAH for Climate Action and the SDGs


YEAH fellow Alexis Pascaris was featured in Groundwork – Center for Resilient Communities. Alexis is a clean energy policy specialist, who traveled to the UK to attend COP26 in person and participate in hosting multiple press conferences and side events with other members of the YEAH network. She shared her reflections from COP26 here.


Michigan Technological University (MTU) hosted a panel discussion with COP26 delegates including Dr. Sarah Green, Alexis Pascaris, Kathleen Brosemer, Shardul Tiwari, Ayush Chutani, Eugene Agyei and Andrew Huston. In this session, the COP26 delegates shared their role in the conference, their experience, new things they learned and what comes next for climate action. The forum was held on December 7, 2021, from 5-6 pm EST.
