
Students and faculty from Michigan Tech, Leeds University, Moravian University, and Monash University discuss investment policies on campuses and compare strategies to accelerate fossil fuel divestment. Izzy Zhu-Maguire (Monash) pointed out that students have power as “customers” with passion to push for change. Elise Rosky and Gabriel Ahrendt (MTU) raised the challenges of maintaining student engagement over time. Dr. Roman Sidortsov explained why oil and gas companies are a poor investment for the long term.
